TEACHING
Weinberger enjoys teaching modern string technique in performing alternative styles, recording studio skills along with studying the timeless masters. In addition, Movement studies, based on the pioneering work of Moshe Feldenkrais, have shaped her teaching with respect to cultivating efficiency and ease of movement plus heightened Kinesthetic awareness when playing the instrument. This approach works hand-in-hand to develop the student's unique voice as a musician because the more natural the technique feels, the more a student can unearth his/her unique voice as a musician.

*Violin and/or viola students enrolling at the New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC may now request Ms. Weinberger as their private instructor if they wish.

Swing Quartet performance for Mayor Bloomberg at the opening of the NY Film Exhibition at Grand Central.

The King Tut Exhibition, which begins touring in the United States at the Los Angeles County Museum on June 16th 2005, is signifigant not only because of the incredible artifacts and recent discoveries surrounding King Tut's life, but also because it is the first time that National Geographic has mounted an exhibit where music is such an integral part of the multi-media presentation.

The sound installation features the music of Christopher Mangum with viola improvisation by Rozanna Weinberger, along with vocals by Vlada Tomova.

Rozanna is nominated Featured Artist on REWARD TALENT!

Rozanna's music was recently used in 'Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of the World' which was jointly sponsored by NGO's of the United Nations, and was exhibited on Capital Hill.

Rozanna is currently working on her latest CD entitled Rozanna's Sweet Thunder. She is also in the finishing stages of her video for the same release.

THE VIDEO: ‘Sweet Thunder’ depicts a ‘super reality’ that exists just beyond our mundane lives. Symbolically her character depicts the power that each person possesses to make a difference in the world as well as the power that music has to unite the world. Her music is also meant to call upon friends from other planets. Sweet Thunder becomes, not only the performing musician, but also the character in a story that unfolds with each new musical installment.

The playground is a New York rooftop where a violist and dancers perform an urban rain dance, invoking the gods, awakening the shaman in each of us and calling forth the thunderous magic of the night, all against the perfect backdrop of a modern New York. ‘Sweet Thunder’ also experiments with the possibilities of a classically trained virtuoso when borders no longer exist.

Sweet Thunder was directed by Lena Chen, Director of Program Planning and Administration of HD Cinema for Rainbow Media and formerly the Program Director for the TRIO Network. Ms. Chen is a member of International Emmys, AFI, BAFTA and NYWIFT.

Check back often to keep posted on its development and release date. Thank you.
